My motivation behind creating this book stems from a decade of gifting “new mama survival kits” to my first-time-mom friends. These baskets would include essential postpartum supplies, specifically designed for mama’s recovery and comfort (baby gets enough attention) with a hand-written explanation of each item. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t make a digital version sooner, but once I committed to that idea, it kind of naturally turned itself into this little life-saver of a book.
My hope is that people will use this as a resource to gift the new mamas in their lives the same bundle of goods, with Naïve as their blueprint, so that newbie parents aren’t blindsided by some of the realities of childbirth and all that entails, but instead are equipped with proper supplies and a realistic expectation for those first several weeks. I hope it’s a useful tool for you and yours!
Your gift still is my favorite ever!
It’s my favorite thing to pay forward!
I love this so much!! Strikes some very important chords in such a fun practical way. It should be a best seller. Not joking about that. It’s a winner!
Kiwi and Wiatt, a bison and mouse duo, have come together to create a simple and delightful way to teach children about "opposites".
Designed specifically for, and approved by the four-year-old version of my daughter. Opposites was a concept she really struggled with, and instead of buying a book, like a normal person would do, I decided to make my own. Cuz why not?
These little characters basically drew themselves. It was like they had always existed and I was simply dusting them off. A week later, I was uploading the files to what I understood to be a printing service website, and tried ordering myself a copy.
Turns out I had actually published it to Amazon and Barnes & Noble and had even sent it off to Libraries across the country. Whoops. That's what we call a happy accident.

My kids love this book! It’s very simple, but we enjoy adding extra commentary or laughing at the pictures which are comedic and fun.
I got this as a gift for someone that just had a baby and it is the cutest book! The illustrations are clear and creative and I like the simplicity of the pictures and words. I will be buying more copies as gifts for sure!
After receiving some common questions here and there, I began documenting my songwriting process, and in so doing, was pleasantly surprised that I do in fact, have a process. I just had never articulated it before. It slowly turned into a low-key novel in the notes section of my phone, and now here we are. Knee-deep in the process of writing a wee book, and I can't wait to share the finished product with you!
Explore some of my core philosophies, be amused by my adorable backstories, and watch with baited breath as I confess to the world that I actually have no idea what I'm doing.
As my high school art teacher would say:
"It's not cheating, it's being resourceful!"
Which makes me very, very resourceful. And so are you.
