As a multi-faceted artist with an audacious spirit and an uncompromising vision, you'll always find me creating in-spite-of.

I believe the reason that I exist, and possibly the most important gift I have to offer the world, is to showcase my utterly imperfect (albeit authentic) pursuit of bringing my passions to life.

I've learned that when I do this for myself, I given others permission and inspiration to do the same for themselves.

I've also learned that when I don't do this for myself, my soul seems to collapse in a silently catastrophic decay that wrecks my entire being. I become a shadow of myself. It damn-near kills me.

Call me sensitive. Call me whatever you like. But I know myself, and I want you to know the freedom that comes from truly knowing yourself, too.

In a world of cookie-cutter monotony, I will gladly welcome the wonder, magic and joy that comes from trying and doing things I've never done before. Regardless of the discomfort. Regardless of the fear.

So, whenever curiosity calls, let's follow obediently, trusting that we'll discover and accept ourselves more deeply in the process. I pray we all have the courage to explore our interests, so that our songs and stories and talents don't die with us, but leave a trail of impact for generations to come.
